On Ignis, the trio deepens their understanding of Tellem Bond's community. Gaal begins to sense the extent of her own latent mentalic abilities. Tellem demonstrates formidable psychic powers, establishing her as both a potential ally and a dangerous threat.
Hari recognizes the strategic importance of the mentalics — their mental abilities could form the core of the Second Foundation. But Tellem's ambitions may not align with the Seldon Plan.
On Trantor, Brother Day meets with General Bel Riose (Ben Daniels), the Empire's most capable military commander. Riose argues that the Foundation must be confronted before it grows too powerful, echoing the events of Asimov's 'Foundation and Empire.'
